The Malaysian Islamic Party also known as the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (Malay: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia; Jawi: ڤرتي إسلام سمليسيا) or simplified as PAS is an Islamist political party in Malaysia. As the party focused on Islamic fundamentalism, PAS's electoral base are largely in Peninsular Malaysia's rural and conservative northern and eastern coasts, particularly in the states of Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis, Terengganu & Pahang.
