The French-language international university in the service of African development was presented and adopted at the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the French-speaking countries in Dakar in May 1989. In October 1990, the creation of Senghor University, a 3rd cycle private institution of recognized international public utility, was done. Senghor University offers multidisciplinary and multi-thematic training on sustainable development in a context of globalization.
