The Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa (Russian: Патриарший экзархат Африки) is the exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa. It was formed by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on December 29, 2021. The primate of the exarchate bears the title "of Klin". The administrative center of the exarchate is the patriarchal compound of the Church of All Saints at Kulishki in Moscow (the former compound of the Patriarchate of Alexandria). The exarchate was formed on the territory of the recognized jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria in connection with the requests of the Orthodox Christians of Africa to transfer to the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate after the recognition by the Patriarchate of Alexandria of the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which the Russian Orthodox Church considers as schismatic.
