Unterschleißheim (Central Bavarian: Untaschleißheim) is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is located about 17 km north of the city limits of Munich, and has a resident population of 29,464 (December 31, 2021). Unterschleißheim was first mentioned in a document from 785, although the area has traces of settlements from 1400 BC. During World War II, a women's subcamp of Dachau concentration camp was located here. The town's 1200th anniversary in 1985 incorporated the inauguration of the new town center with the Town Hall and Citizens Advice Bureau.
