Vuhledar, (Ukrainian: Вугледа́р, IPA: (listen)) also known as Ugledar, (Russian: Угледа́р, romanized: Ugledar, IPA: ) is a town in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. The town is 55.7 km (34.6 mi) to the southwest from the administrative centre of the oblast, Donetsk. At the beginning of 2022, its population was 14,144. The town has been a battleground between Ukraine and Russia since 13 March 2022, and Russia later claimed the town belonged to the Donetsk People's Republic, following the international unrecognised annexation.
