  • "Former Greenwood Mayor Ernest Lampkins dies". KTBS. Retrieved May 4, 2022. But Lampkins' toughest personal test came in 2007 during his first term as mayor of Greenwood, just west of Shreveport. Lampkins decided not to seek a second term, largely because someone fired shots into his home. He, his wife and one of their children were home but no one was hurt.
