Quando regressaram à Áustria viram o documentário “Plastic Planet”, do realizador austríaco Werner Boote, sobre os efeitos tóxicos do plástico no Ambiente, e decidiram mudar o seu estilo de vida.
The documentary was filmed in 25 countries, at sites ranging from a manufacturing plant in Germany to an enormous trash heap in India. Along the way, Boote discovers that even the most innocent-seeming plastic products can contain compounds and chemicals that cause major health problems. [...] director Werner Boote’s 2009 Austrian documentary is a fair-minded but frightening exposé of an industry that generates hundreds of billions of dollars annually on the backs of convenient products that populate every corner of human existence. Although Boote comes off as a kindler, gentler Michael Moore, he’s no noob: His grandfather helped manufacture the “miracle substance” plastic long before bisphenol A migrated into our bodies and the Great Pacific Garbage Patch befouled our seas.
