Abstatt (German: [ˈapʃtat] (listen)) is a municipality in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. Abstatt is situated in the south of the district of Heilbronn at the Schozach river. Heilbronn is about 10 kilometres (6 mi) to the northwest. Abstatt was first mentioned documentary in 1293. In 1510 Abstatt came to Württemberg. The villages Happenbach and Vohenlohe were even administrated by Abstatt since the 18th century.
