Built by Buddy Tudor's family-owned construction company from Pineville, Alexandria Mall opened in 1973 with JCPenney, Sears, Beall-Ladymon (a chain based in Shreveport, Louisiana), and local department stores Weiss & Goldring, Green's and Wellan's.
