Ane Riel (born 25 September 1971) is a Danish novelist. Riel is the author of four novels. Her fourth novel "Clockwork" is forthcoming by Lindhardt og Ringhof in June 2021. Her first three novels earned her seven awards and twelve nominations both in Denmark and abroad. Riel's novels were all written as literary novels and have been published as such in Denmark. However, the first two share a peculiarity in that they were also welcomed into the crime genre.
