Dame Angela Brigid Lansbury DBE (October 16, 1925 – October 11, 2022) was an Irish-British and American actress and singer. In a career spanning over eight decades, she played various roles across film, stage, and television. Among her numerous accolades were six Tony Awards, an Olivier Award, six Golden Globe Awards, and the Academy Honorary Award, in addition to nominations for three Academy Awards, eighteen Emmy Awards, and a Grammy Award. She also received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 1996, the National Medal of the Arts in 1997, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2000.
