Beijing Daxing International Airport (IATA: PKX, ICAO: ZBAD), is one of two international airports serving Beijing, the other one being Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). It is located on the border of Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province. It has been nicknamed "the starfish." It was completed on June 30, 2019, and began operations on September 26, 2019. The airport is 46 kilometers (29 mi) south of Tiananmen Square, 26 kilometers (16 mi) west of downtown Langfang, 50 kilometers (31 mi) northeast of Xiong'an New Area, and 65 kilometers (40 mi) south of Beijing Capital International Airport, and serves Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
