'Federal Ministry for Climate Action, the Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology') is the government ministry of Austria in charge of traffic, research, innovation, energy, and environmental protection. First established in 1896, its exact name and portfolio have undergone changes numerous times throughout the years. From 2000 to 2020, the ministry was officially called the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie or BMVIT).
