Bougy-Villars is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the district of Morges. Bougy-Villars is first mentioned in 996 as in villa Balgedelco. Starting in 1285 and until the end of the 19th century, it was known as Bougy-Milon. Thereafter, it was known as Bougy until 1953, when it became Bougy-Villars. Bougy-Villars has an area, as of 2009, of 1.77 square kilometers (0.68 sq mi). Of this area, 0.68 km2 (0.26 sq mi) or 38.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.4 km2 (0.15 sq mi) or 22.6% is forested.
