Busitema University (BU) is a university in Uganda. It is one of the eight public universities and degree-awarding institutions in the country. BU has its main focus on the instruction of agricultural sciences, agricultural mechanization, and agribusiness. BU has its main campus in Busitema, Busia District on the Jinja - Tororo Highway, about 26 kilometres (16 mi), by road, southwest of Tororo, the nearest large town.
