Carrouges (French pronunciation:  (listen)) is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France. The inhabitants are known as Carrougiens and Carrougiennes. The town is home to a castle (Château de Carrouges), built in the 14th century by Jean de Carrouges and restored after the Hundred Years War. In the Middle Ages, Carrouges was part of the deanery of Asnebec. These payments were estimated in 1698 to 200 pounds in Memory of the General Alençon by the intendant, M. de Pommereuil.
