Asago (朝来市, Asago-shi) is a city located in northern Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 March 2022, the city had an estimated population of 28,971 in 12245 households and a population density of 72 persons per km².The total area of the city is 403.06 square kilometres (155.62 sq mi). Asago is located in the north of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located in the east of Chūgoku Mountains, and the mountains and forests were occupy 93% of the town.
