Yasugi (安来市, Yasugi-shi) is a city located in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. As of March 1, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 38,875 and a population density of 92 persons per km². The total area is 420.97 km2 (162.54 sq mi). The ruins of Gassantoda Castle are in Yasugi. According to legend, the goddess Izanami was buried here. In Shinto, both holy and negative concept exists.
