Platte Woods is a city in Platte County, Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the United States. The population was 385 at the 2010 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.37 square miles (0.96 km2), all land. Platte Woods is a fourth class city under Missouri statutes. Its governing body consists of the Mayor and a four-member Board of Aldermen that cover two wards.
