Cormorant Township is a township in Becker County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,039 as of the 2010 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.3 square miles (93.9 km2), of which 26.3 square miles (68.2 km2) is land and 9.9 square miles (25.7 km2), or 27.40%, is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 965 people, 422 households, and 316 families residing in the township. The population density was 36.6 inhabitants per square mile (14.1/km2). There were 977 housing units at an average density of 37.1 per square mile (14.3/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 98.86% White, 0.21% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.31% Asian, and 0.52% from two or more races.
