The population was 1,036 at the 2020 census, down from 1,201 in 2010. Craig is the largest town on Prince of Wales Island, the fourth-largest island in the United States. Craig is approximately 56 miles (90 km) by air northwest of Ketchikan and 220 miles (350 km) south of Juneau.
