Crissier (French pronunciation: ) is a municipality in the district of Ouest Lausannois in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is a suburb of Lausanne. Crissier is first mentioned in 1199 as Crissiaco. In 1228 it was mentioned as Crissie. Crissier has an area, as of 2009, of 5.51 km2 (2.13 sq mi) . Of this area, 1.39 km2 (0.54 sq mi) or 25.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.46 km2 (0.56 sq mi) or 26.5% is forested.
