Central University of Jammu is a Central University in the Samba district of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was established through an Act of Parliament: "The Central Universities Act, 2009" by Govt. of India. It started functioning from 2011. Dr. Sudhir Singh Bloeria was first Vice Chancellor of the university. The Central University of Jammu came into existence on 8 August 2011, with the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor.
