Czech draughts is a board game played in the territory formerly occupied by Czechoslovakia (the present day Czech Republic and Slovakia). It is governed by the Czech Draughts Federation. The draughtsboard has eight ranks and eight files. Players each have twelve draughtsmen on opposite sides of the board, arranged on black squares only, in three rows. Men move one square diagonally forward. Once a man has reached the furthest rank of the board from the owning player, it becomes a king.
