Daniel H. Pink (born July 23, 1964) is an American author. He has written seven books; five of them are New York Times bestsellers. He was a host and a co-executive producer of the National Geographic Channel social science TV series Crowd Control. From 1995 to 1997, he was the chief speechwriter for Vice President Al Gore. Pink grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Bexley High School in 1982. He is also a 1986 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Northwestern University where he was a Truman Scholar.
