Doubrava (help·info) (Polish: Dąbrowa, German: Dombrau) is a municipality and village in Karviná District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants. The name comes from the Slavic word dúbrava, which means "oak forest". Between 1920 and 1924, the municipality was named Dombrová. Doubrava is located about 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of Karviná and 12 km (7 mi) east of Ostrava. It lies in the Ostrava Basin lowland in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia.
