Richard L. Hasen is an American legal scholar and law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is an expert in legislation, election law and campaign finance. Hasen received his Bachelor of Arts with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986. His Bachelor's degree is in Middle Eastern studies. He received his Master of Arts with distinction in political science in 1988 and Doctor of Philosophy in political science in 1992, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.
