The network broadcasts programming related to combat sports, including mixed martial arts, boxing, kickboxing, and professional wrestling. The channel was originally conceived in Canada, when it was granted approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on January 30, 2004.
