The Gazette is a Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. It has operated since 1873. The publication began as Out West, beginning March 23, 1872, but failed in its endeavor. The company relaunched as The Colorado Springs Gazette, and the first issue was published on January 4, 1873. In 1946, the Colorado Springs Gazette and the Colorado Springs Evening Telegraph merged to form the Colorado Springs Gazette-Telegraph. The same year, it was purchased by Raymond C.
