Harrisburg Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania. The school has a diverse student body in nursery through 12th grade. The school was established in 1784 by John Harris Jr., the founder of Harrisburg. Harrisburg Academy was originally located at the John Harris Mansion and later in the eponymous Academy Manor section of the Riverside neighborhood along North Front Street, but is now located on a 24-acre (9.6 ha) campus about one mile (1.6 km) west of the Susquehanna River in Wormleysburg, a suburb of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
