Heribert Hirte (born 31 March 1958) is a German legal scholar and politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2013 until 2021. Born in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hirte became a member of the Bundestag in the 2013 German federal election, representing the Cologne II district. He was a member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Committee on European Affairs. In 2019, he took over as chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection after his predecessor Stephan Brandner was voted out of office by all the other members of the committee.
