The Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) is a British charity, based in London, whose aim is to "educate young people of every background about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today." One of the Trust's main achievements is ensuring that the Holocaust formed part of the National Curriculum for history. It was founded by the Labour MP Greville Janner and the former Labour Home Secretary Merlyn Rees in 1988, and is a registered charity in England & Wales and in Scotland. Its current chief executive is Karen Pollock, who was awarded an MBE for her services to Holocaust education in 2012. Its chairman is Paul Phillips and its president is Stephen Rubin.
