Ireton is a city in Sioux County, Iowa, United States. The population was 590 at the time of the 2020 census. Ireton was platted in 1882. It was named after Henry Ireton, who served under Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War. A post office has been in operation in Ireton since 1882.
