To Love Ru (Japanese: To LOVE（とらぶ）る, Hepburn: Toraburu) is a Japanese manga series written by Saki Hasemi and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from April 2006 to August 2009, and the chapters collected into 18 tankōbon volumes. It chronicles the life of high school student Rito Yuuki after he meets and accidentally gets engaged to the alien princess Lala Satalin Deviluke. The title, Toraburu, is a pun on the English loan words toraburu ("trouble") and rabu ("love"), referencing the harem aspect of the series.
