Jens Brandenburg (born 8 March 1986) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Baden-Württemberg since 2017. Since December 2021, he serves as Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research in the coalition government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Born in Simmerath, North Rhine-Westphalia, Brandenburg graduated from high school in Monschau in 2005. He then studied political science and economics at the University of Mannheim until 2010, graduating with a Bachelor's and master's degree.
