Jiangdu (simplified Chinese: 江都区; traditional Chinese: 江都區; pinyin: Jiāngdū Qū; lit. 'river capital district'), historically known as Kiangtu is one of three districts of Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, China. The district spans an area of 1,518.78 square kilometres (586.40 sq mi), and as of November 1, 2020, has 926,577 inhabitants. Formerly a county, Jiangdu became a district in July 1994.
