Lampaden is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The village is over a thousand years old and acquired grazing rights in the year 1036. The area was already populated in Celtic and Roman times. During World War II, the only two operational V3 cannons used to bombard Luxembourg were installed in a wooded ravine of the river Ruwer at Lampaden about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) southeast of Trier.
