Louis Andrew Grammatico (born 2 May 1950), known professionally as Lou Gramm, is an American singer-songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the rock band Foreigner from 1977 to 1990 and again from 1992 to 2003, during which time the band had numerous successful albums and singles. Gramm was born on 2 May 1950, in Rochester, New York, the son of Nikki (born Masetta), a singer, and Bennie Grammatico, a band leader and trumpeter.
