The Libertarian Party of Virginia (LPVA) is the Virginia affiliate of the Libertarian Party. The party was originally founded in 1974 and was dissolved in September 2022, later reemerging as the Classical Liberal Party of Virginia – a party affiliated with the Association of Liberty State Parties. Shortly after the founding of the Classical Liberal Party of Virginia, a new Libertarian Party of Virginia was formed, receiving the recognition of the Libertarian National Committee and the Libertarian Party.
