Malax (Finland Swedish: ; Finnish: Maalahti) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 5,486 (31 December 2021) and covers an area of 1,954.94 square kilometres (754.81 sq mi) of which 1,433.95 km2 (553.65 sq mi) is water.
