Malešov (German: Maleschau) is a market town in Kutná Hora District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,000 inhabitants. The historic centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Villages of Albrechtice, Maxovna, Polánka and Týniště are administrative parts of Malešov. Malešov is located about 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Kutná Hora and 52 km (32 mi) east of Prague. It lies in the Upper Sázava Hills. The highest point is at 423 m (1,388 ft) above sea level.
