Marshfield is a city in Missouri and the county seat of Webster County, Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 6,633. As of the 2020 census, Marshfield had a population of 7,458. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri, metropolitan area. Marshfield was platted in 1855, taking its name from Marshfield, Massachusetts. A post office called Marshfield has been in operation since 1856. The county seat was donated by William T. Burford. The Hosmer Dairy Farm Historic District and Rainey Funeral Home Building are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. More information...
