Moravské Budějovice (Czech: [ˈmorafskɛː ˈbuɟɛjovɪtsɛ]; German: Mährisch Budwitz) is a town in Třebíč District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,200 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Villages of Jackov, Lažínky, Vesce and Vranín are administrative parts of Moravské Budějovice. Moravské Budějovice is located about 19 kilometres (12 mi) south of Třebíč and 41 km (25 mi) northeast of Jihlava. It lies in the Jevišovice Uplands.
