Polná (Czech pronunciation: [ˈpolnaː]) is a town in Jihlava District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,100 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Villages of Hrbov, Janovice, Nové Dvory and Skrýšov are administrative parts of Polná. Polná is located about 13 kilometres (8 mi) northeast of Jihlava. It lies in the Upper Sázava Hills. It is situated at the confluence of the small river Šlapanka and stream Ochozský.
