Úterý (German: Neumarkt) is a town in Plzeň-North District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. The town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Villages of Olešovice and Vidžín are administrative parts of Úterý. The name of the town literally means "Tuesday". Úterý is located about 33 km (21 mi) northwest of Plzeň. It lies in the Teplá Highlands. The highest point is the hill Stěnský vrch, at 760 m (2,490 ft). The Úterský Stream flows through the town. More information...
