Mondaire L. Jones (born May 18, 1987) is an American lawyer and politician who was the U.S. representative for New York's 17th congressional district from 2021 to 2023. The district includes most of central and northwestern Westchester County and all of Rockland County. A member of the Democratic Party, he and Ritchie Torres were the first openly gay Black members of Congress. As a member of Congress, Jones was described as a rising star on the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. After redistricting, he sought reelection in 2022 in New York's 10th district after DCCC chair Sean Patrick Maloney chose to run in Jones's former district, but lost the primary to attorney Dan Goldman.
