Chropyně (Czech pronunciation: [ˈxropɪɲɛ]) is a town in Kroměříž District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 4,700 inhabitants. The village of Plešovec is an administrative part of Chropyně. Chropyně is located about 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Kroměříž and 25 km (16 mi) northwest of Zlín. It lies in the Upper Morava Valley. The river Malá Bečva flows through the town and other small watercourses flow into it in the municipal territory.
