Česká Lípa (Czech pronunciation: [tʃɛskaː liːpa] (listen); German: Böhmisch Leipa) is a town in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 37,000 inhabitants and it is the most populated Czech town without the city status. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.
