Nová Paka (Czech pronunciation: [ˈnovaː ˈpaka], German: Neupaka) is a town in Jičín District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 8,900 inhabitants. Villages of Heřmanice, Kumburský Újezd, Podlevín, Přibyslav, Pustá Proseč, Radkyně, Štikov, Studénka, Valdov, Vlkov, Vrchovina and Zlámaniny are administrative parts of Nová Paka. Nová Paka is located about 37 kilometres (23 mi) northwest of Hradec Králové. It lies in a hilly landscape of the Giant Mountains Foothills.
