Nipissing University is a public university located in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. It overlooks Lake Nipissing, where it provides individualized student experiences through supportive and accessible professors, small class sizes and undergraduate research opportunities. The university is composed of three faculties: the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies; the Faculty of Arts and Science; and the Schulich School of Education; as well as the School of Graduate Studies. Nipissing University has approximately 5000 undergraduate students, the majority of which are full-time students, and 150 graduate students (current as of 2016). Applicants entering from high school must have a minimum of 70%, or 75% if applying for a degree in Criminal Justice or Concurrent Education, to be considered for full-time (30 credits) study.
